A couple of years ago we had the pleasure of working with Mia as part of an effort to raise awareness about the value that our company, Accurate Lock and Hardware, brings to the local community. We were going before the Zoning board in Stamford, CT seeking zoning approval of a variance for a major expansion of our facility that was absolutely paramount to the vitality of our company. We contracted Mia to help create a PR campaign to generate local support for our initiative. Mia quickly identified the winning message focusing on the things that really mattered to the local community: the fact that we were one of the largest remaining manufacturers in the area, that we were a family owned company with direct ties to the old Yale & Towne company where 1 in 4 current Stamford residents had relatives formerly employed, that a good portion of our workforce of over 100, nearly 30%, walked to work and would likely lose their jobs if we re-located, and that we supported many local businesses.
